Japan's Ministry of Transport has announced that all new vehicles will be required to install automatic brakes starting in November 2021. The ministry said Japan would be the world leader in the adoption of the car safety system. The new requirements will meet international standards and respond to the increasing number of accidents that result in accidents for older drivers. The first step requirement will have an impact on the passenger cars, minibuses and minibuses that will be released in the market by 2021. New imported vehicles will start from June 2024 and other domestic vehicles from December 2025.
